The next session will take place Thursday, April 8th, from 4-5pm.

For this session, we will discuss Sister Outsider by Audre Lorde.

Here are guiding questions:

1. This book is a collection of essays written by Audre Lorde, what were some quotes that spoke to you and why? What did they make you think/feel?

2. There are multiple essays that talk about the power of Poetry, In "Poetry is Not a Luxury" and "An Interview: Audre Lorde and Adrienne Rich", how would you describe the importance of expression and emotion in regards to the power of poetry?

3. In the essay "The Master's Tools Will Never Dismantle The Master's House", Lorde talks about the need for unity in order to be free from sexism. The use of the Master's Tools will never set us free. What are the Master's Tools, and how can we begin to steer away from them?
