UCSF Innovation Ventures and the UCSF Benioff Center for Microbiome Medicine are launching an Innovator Series to hear from scientists in industry and academia about their work and career journey. The series will nucleate a forum to discuss research innovation and ultimately accelerate the translation of UCSF research with clinical impact and commercial potential.

Join us to learn more from Dr. Kimes, a former UCSF postdoc about her journey from trainee to CEO. The session will also highlight the UCSF Office of Technology Management and Advancement’s approach to startup development, company creation experiences, and taking a market-first approach to translating science into commercial products. Attendees will also have the opportunity to apply a market-first approach firsthand through participation in an interactive case study. This event is open to the entire UCSF community and is especially geared towards trainees and early investigators.
