BCMM welcomes interns as part of the Mayor's Opportunities for All program

We are thrilled to be participating as an employer for Opportunites for All summer internship program. Our two interns spent a month with Drs. Connie Ha and Moriah Sandy, learning about the microbiome and pathways to careers in research. After conducting experiments and demonstrating impressive aseptic technique, the interns presented their findings to the BCMM community. We look forward to hosting OFA interns again in the future!

Opportunities for All (OFA) provides access to career exploration and workforce development for San Francisco’s youth and young adults. The initiative includes paid internships, mentorship, and pathways to employment, including job readiness, career training, and apprenticeship for participants ages 13 to 24. OFA focuses on equitable access to these opportunities through workforce connection, support and job resources for both jobseekers and employers alike.
