The Benioff Center for Microbiome Medicine is proud to announce we have installed B.SIGHT, a new instrument for high-throughput microbial single-cell sorting, culturing and functional screening in the Culturing Facility. B.SIGHT is a fully automated microbial single-cell sorter and dispenser that leverages cutting-edge microfluidics and imaging technologies to isolate individual bacterial or fungal cells from suspension samples via brightfield or green fluorescence detection.

BCMM Grant Writing Workshop

August 4, 2022, 3-5pm
This workshop will combine a lecture, peer review, and discussion to demystify the NIH application process. This training will prepare participants to submit an NIH grant proposal that turns reviewers into advocates, positioning the applicant for success. The event is limited to BCMM members at all career stages. Attendees are strongly encouraged to bring a drafted Specific Aims page for a proposed microbiome project for review and group feedback.
